Lovers Leap is a cliff band of granite located in Eldorado county California. It received it’s name from a local tale of two Native American Lovers who in one version of the story leapt to their death after the chief ordered the death of his daughters suitor.
Nowadays Lovers leap is mainly known for it’s numerous rock climbing routs and awe inspiring beauty. Here are some of the common routes for climbing.
|Harvey’s Wallbangers, Center||5.6|
|Eagle’s Buttress, Right||5.10a|
It has a great little highline area right at the top of Corrugation Corner.
Here are some of my favorite pictures from Lovers Leap.
